My work uses the iconic symbols of American and Global culture to examine what happens when a method of communication breaks down. When visual aids fail to aid us and the messages trying to be conveyed are subverted by the image itself.

This subversion is the failure of the image, its decay or disruption. Sometimes something new is revealed in the decay, commenting on the image or the culture that made it. Asking the viewer to reexamine everyday objects and their global lifestyle.
